The Kitchen Meeting

Recall that our kitchen looks like this:

So, we called in a remodeler, showed her the space, told her about our dreams.  White cabinets! Expand the space! Nice new countertops!  Real appliances (that were not borrowed from friends or free off of Craigslist)!  Something, anything that looks better than this!

And she was all for it.  Sure! You can have anything you want! she exclaimed.  Update the electrical?  No problem.  Move the toilet?  Why not.  Do you want granite countertops?  A farmhouse sink?

And then we told her what our anticipated budget was.  And she did not look impressed.

Ahhh… dream kitchen.  I cannot wait until you are mine.

  1. Now that is a dream kitchen! Having just done some remodeling at the lake I know a budget can go out the window real fast. I have a feeling you’re going to get that kitchen before GraGG gets what he wants?!?!?!?

  2. You bet we’re going to get that kitchen before GpaGG gets what he wants! Mwah ha ha ha (evil cackle).

    Sorry, GpaGG!

  3. Does what GpaGG want come in a little tiny bundle and have tiny, tiny little features?

  4. Yes! It is smaller than a toaster oven.

  5. Oh I love it! It is very similar to a picture I found that I wanted for our kitchen. I love the old farmhouse, white kitchens. I almost went with it too, but last minute we decided to do stained cabinets and black appliances. We currently have a light color cabinet upstairs and they get so dirty with a little one running around. *sigh* maybe one day… 🙂
